AMY K. WALSH, CES® is the V.P. of Southeast Operations for 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, a leading §1031 tax-deferred exchange company. With over a decade of experience as a full-service qualified intermediary, she has built a career on structuring an array of exchange transactions to capitalize tax benefits for her clients. Her company is a member of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators where she serves on the CES® Certification Council and Marketing Committee, and she carries the first Certified Exchange Specialist® designation issued in the Upstate of South Carolina, one of two first-ever accredited in the entire state. Amy is also a licensed Continuing Education Provider in NC and SC, has written approved education courses for those states on the subject of §1031 tax-deferred exchanges and is a published author on the subject. She is active in many organizations, participating in the Real Estate Educators Association, the Association for Continuing Legal Education Administrators, CREW Network (Commercial Real Estate Women), as well as CoreNet and the Commercial Alliance of the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors. She also helped found the Carolina Creative Exchange Marketing Group and played the instrumental role in revitalizing a chapter in Greenville, SC for the National Association for Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Currently, she and other professionals are also working to form the first SC Chapter of CREW. In 2006 she was named to the SC Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee and recognized in the Who’s Who of American Business Women. Amy attended The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and SFI Theological Institute and holds bachelor's and post-graduate degrees in Religious Studies.
